Honesty

I’ll be honest,

I’m honestly dishonest.

I hate to tell a lie.

I’m ruthlessly honest,

But I’ll freely leave out

the best bit about the truth.

I never need to say ‘no comment’,

because my comments are misleading.

I’m always pleading

to be believed,

while knowing all the while

that I’ve deceived.
